SpicyChat / App
SpicyChat app: is there one for iPhone and Android?
Short answer: there's an Android app you download from SpicyChat's own site (not Google Play), and no iPhone app — Apple removed it in August 2025. On iPhone you use the website, which you can pin to your Home Screen.
SpicyChat says it "does not have a native iOS app on Apple App Store." The app was removed on August 27, 2025 — SpicyChat's notice says "Apple determined that the app does not comply with their guidelines."
Use it like an app (Safari):
- Open Safari and go to spicychat.ai
- Tap the Share icon
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then confirm
In Chrome on iPhone: open spicychat.ai, tap the Share icon in the address bar, then Add to Home Screen.
If you installed SpicyChat from the App Store before it was removed, SpicyChat says you may keep using it, but it "is no longer updated and offers a degraded experience." Your account, characters and conversations are all available on the website.
The Android app is an APK from SpicyChat's own site — it isn't on Google Play. SpicyChat's steps:
- Open your browser and go to the download page linked from spicychat.ai
- Download the latest SpicyChat APK
- When prompted, allow your browser to install apps from this source
- Tap Install, then open it from your app drawer
Android may show a security warning — SpicyChat says this "is normal for apps installed outside the Play Store." Only download from SpicyChat's own site; APKs from other sites can be modified.
Subscriptions bought through the old iOS app don't auto-renew; SpicyChat says they "only remain active until their next scheduled renewal date," after which you re-subscribe on the website. If you signed in with Apple and used "Hide My Email," you may need to turn that off to log in on the web.
If you want to pay through an app store, SpicyChat says its SFW sister app PixelChat is on Google Play, and a PixelChat subscription "will automatically apply to SpicyChat as well."
In France, the UK, Italy, Australia and 26 US states, SpicyChat requires a third-party age check (video selfie, or ID with face match) before NSFW content is shown. SpicyChat says it never receives the images or documents, and verification is tied to your account, not your device.
