Is Janitor AI free?
Free tier includes unlimited chats with community bots, access to standard chat models, and a context limit of around 9k tokens. Janitor says it will always keep a free option.
Does Janitor AI allow NSFW?
Terms of Service require all users to be 18+. Community Guidelines permit adult sexual text content between consenting adult characters, with listed prohibited categories. Characters with sexual or romantic themes must be tagged 'Limitless'; 'Limited' characters must be suitable for general audiences. Pornographic or nude images are not allowed (including character avatars). In the iOS/Android apps NSFW content is disabled by default. Users connecting from Australia, Brazil and the UK must complete a one-time age verification via k-ID.

Things to know
Mobile apps are labeled beta by Janitor. App subscriptions must be cancelled through the App Store/Google Play, not the web. Using an outside model via proxy/API key means chats are also sent to that third-party provider (Janitor's help center walks users through OpenRouter).
