Is JOI AI free?
A free 'Basic' tier gives limited access (Terms). Help center: free accounts get 6 lifetime image generations (stored 7 days). Per Terms, romantic/explicit messages and media are paid separately with Neurons (e.g. 4 Neurons to read a romantic message, up to 120 per photo, up to 1,900 per video).
Does JOI AI allow NSFW?
Terms: all services are strictly for adults 18+ and some AI-generated material may depict sexually explicit conduct. Mature content is shown after the user confirms they are 18+; JOI may also require age verification through VerifyMyAge (email check, facial age estimation or ID, depending on region) at registration or when accessing Premium or explicit content. Explicit messages and media are paid with Neurons; automated safety filters can block restricted topics.

JOI AI doesn't publish its prices; they're shown inside the app or at checkout. No public price list. Terms describe a recurring 'Premium' subscription (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual), optional per-character 'Bot Subscriptions' that require Premium, and Neuron packs; prices vary by region, plan length, character and promotions and are only shown inside the app. Help center says unused monthly benefits roll over.

Things to know
Celebrity characters: JOI's About page says it offers 'official digital duplicates of real celebrities', and its creator site (creator.joi.com) names adult performers and streamers who create 'digital twins' and earn 80% of revenue. Its Terms (1.4) also say 'No real persons are involved'. JOI's own pages do not say each listed celebrity character is individually licensed. Billing (own Terms/help center): subscriptions are generally non-refundable once activated; no refunds for partial periods; reading explicit messages and viewing media costs extra Neurons on top of the subscription; Bot Subscriptions stop working without an active Premium plan. Terms say characters you create belong to JOI.
