Is Botify AI free?
Basic chat is free (the site advertises 'free chat with AI bots'). The ToS states some parts of the service require a paid subscription, and the app uses an 'energy' balance that is spent on paid extras such as photos. Exact free limits were not published without signing in.
Does Botify AI allow NSFW?
The Terms of Service say the service 'is not intended to operate as an adult or pornographic service' and list sexually explicit or pornographic content among prohibited content. Users must be 18+. MIT Technology Review (Feb 27, 2025) reported that Botify hosted user-made bots playing underage versions of celebrities in sexually suggestive chats; Ex-Human's CEO said its moderation had failed to filter that content and the flagged bots were removed. Apple pulled Botify from the App Store citing 'dishonest or fraudulent activity', and Ex-Human sued Apple over it (9to5Mac, Apr 3, 2026); the app is still on Google Play. The Play listing's data-safety section says data can't be deleted, and the privacy policy says some personal information may be sold or shared (CCPA section). The ToS is dated August 28, 2021.
